4-Week Online Poetry Workshop: Exploring our Bubbles, starts July 6, 2020
Begins Monday, July 6, 2020
During these past few months, many people have been relying on walks in their neighborhood or nearby places. Perhaps you have found yourself deeply observing these spaces or wanting to cultivate such a practice. Deep observation creates openings for poetry and poems to begin. In this 4-week course, poet and professor Lindsay Tigue will guide you in writing a series of poems that begin with walks in your “bubble,” looking out from this space that may feel small and full at the same time.
This class will help you to form part of an online community of poets--whether you are already practicing poets or are turning to poetry for the first time. In this online poetry workshop, you will be writing your own poems, providing feedback to your online classmates, and reading the work of established poets. Lindsay Tigue will provide a series of exercises and prompts to go along with the readings that will help you to create a series of poems by the end of the course.
NOTE: All reading material will be provided by the instructor.
