Our college prep courses are led by Helen Witt, who has been helping students achieve their SAT/ACT and GPA goals since 2005. Collectively, Ms. Witt's students have earned millions of dollars in scholarships and boast a college-acceptance record that includes elite universities like Harvard, Dartmouth, Vanderbilt, Notre Dame, US Naval Academy, West Point, Georgetown, Texas, Rice, SMU, Tulane, Loyola Marymount, and many others. That said, Ms. Witt prides herself on her ability to work with students of all academic levels to help them achieve their college dreams.
This ACT Crash Course reviews key concepts and reinforces test-taking strategies to help students do their best on test day despite not having much time to prepare. Five quick modules cover:
    • ACT test format and what to expect on test day
    • English grammar and rhetoric questions
    • A variety of key Math skills with a range of difficulty
    • A breakdown of common Reading question types
    • Important Science concepts and data interpretation strategies
An optional sixth module will provide tips and tricks for doing well on the writing portion at the end of the test.

This 3-hour course is entirely asynchronous and self-paced, but Ms. Witt is available to answer questions and provide feedback on how best to use your time, based on previous scores or your academic strengths.

Instructor Helen Witt has been working with high school students for over 15 years as a private tutor focusing on academic help, test preparation, and college admissions counseling.  A graduate of The Hockaday School in Dallas, TX, she found her passion for learning transitioned easily into a passion for teaching while working as a TA as a graduate student at Tulane University (BSE, MSPH).   An unabashed math lover and science nerd–she holds degrees in Biomedical Engineering and Infectious Disease–she loves being able to help students achieve their dreams in a small-group or one-on-one environment.

"I wish you could have seen her face when she woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me her score.  It was incredible!"

"We are over the moon!  This score is a total game-changer for him, and you were the reason.  Thank you for your help!"

"He was so thrilled that all his hard work paid off, and it was thanks to your encouragement that he gave it just one more shot!"

You can pay for the course in full or use Affirm to pay over time with equal Monthly Payments. Both options are available at checkout.

This class is entirely asynchronous and is available within Wet Ink, our dedicated online classroom. All course materials are available through the online classroom.
