This writing mindfully six-week workshop is taught by Sara Tatyana Bernstein, Ph.D., and Elise Chatelain, Ph.D., co-founders of Dismantle Magazine. Sara's writing appears in Longreads, LitHub, Hippocampus Magazine, Buckman Journal, Catapult, Vox, BuzzFeed Reader, The Outline, and more. Elise is a writer, researcher and editor with over 20 years of teaching experience. She has a cultural studies and sociology background and has taught research methods at several universities.
In this six-week workshop, you will develop a mindful writing practice that works for you!
Drawing from meditation, physical movement, self-reflection and creative exercises, you will learn mindfulness strategies that support your personal and professional writing goals.
Each class will begin with a movement and meditation session, followed by journaling and sharing. Throughout the series, we will work on goal-setting that considers your whole self and how your writing fits into your life.
- Mindfulness techniques (meditation, reflection, yoga, journaling).

- A strong sense of how the writing process fits into life & goals.
- New strategies for getting into the writing groove
