She holds an MFA from the Bennington College Writing Seminars. Her stories, essays, poetry, interviews, and reviews have appeared in numerous literary publications and anthologies, including Prairie Schooner, Spillway, Poet Lore, Ibbetson Street, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. Davis lives with her husband and two black cats on the Olympic Peninsula in a Victorian seaport community.

On June 20, 2024, the sun will journey along its northernmost path in the sky. Honor the day with the longest number of daylight minutes by creating new poems of gratitude.

Write with Lauren Davis and welcome Summer into being with poems of gratitude. Davis will provide a variety of poetry prompts inspired by contemporary poets. You’ll walk away from this workshop with a new stack of drafts for a new season. This workshop is appropriate for all levels of experience.

Davis will provide a handout of poems by contemporary poets.

We will read contemporary poets and compose our own poems during this workshop.
