Who is this class for?

This online creative challenge is open to all levels and all disciplines: writers, poets, visual artists, photographers, and anyone looking to generate new work and push their boundaries. If you want to build a daily creative practice in a supportive, low-pressure structure, this is the class for you.

What to expect:

Secluded in a small village outside of Paris, the famous impressionist artist Vincent van Gogh spent the final 70 days of his life doing what he loved: painting every day. This remarkable period and astonishing burst of creativity inspires this unique workshop.

Grow with Van Gogh is a 30-day challenge for writers, artists, and all creatives looking to generate new work and push their boundaries. This expansive four-week workshop includes a daily prompt inspired by the life and work of Vincent van Gogh.

Whether you're putting words on a page, paint on a canvas, or lens to the world, this challenge invites you to show up daily and create.

Vincent van Gogh is one of the most prolific and famous artists of all time. He is also perhaps the most misunderstood. A tribute to Vincent's relentless creative spirit, this workshop takes a close look at the artist while allowing participants to respond to and reflect on van Gogh's life through their own creative voyage.

Along with your weekly deadlines, there is plenty of interaction with the instructor and your peers within Wet Ink, our dedicated online classroom. Craft materials, lectures, reading assignments, and writing prompts are all available through the online classroom. Students also post work and provide and receive feedback in the online classroom.

You can finish the work as you see fit, week to week, which is perfect for any schedule. There are discussion questions each week inspired by the assigned readings and topics in the lecture notes. Students are encouraged to take these wherever they find most compelling and/or useful. The instructor engages with these discussions throughout the week, and you will receive feedback on all assigned writing activities.
