Alumni Spotlight: Elizabeth Kleinfeld Named Among Best Emerging Writers of 2024

We are thrilled to share that WritingWorkshops.com alumni Elizabeth Kleinfeld has been recognized as one of the top emerging literary voices of the year. Her work has been selected for inclusion in The Masters Review's Best Emerging Writers 2024, a prestigious anthology showcasing ten exceptional short stories and essays from promising writers around the world.

This year's anthology was curated by acclaimed author Gina Chung, whose novel Sea Change was longlisted for the Center for Fiction First Novel Prize. In her introduction to the collection, Chung praises the selected works for how they "ask questions about power, intimacy, control, our imperfect knowledge of one another and the world around us."

Elizabeth joins an impressive roster of talented writers in this collection, including Jacqueline Gu, Beth Richards, Margaret Adams, Aurora Huiza, Emilie Pascale Beck, River Lucero, Jillian Weiss, Vicky Grut, and Laura Price Steele.

About the Anthology

The Masters Review's Best Emerging Writers 2024 is published by Red Mare Press, an independent publisher based in Bend, Oregon, specializing in hardcover, paperback, and digital books. As the in-house publisher for Discover New Art's literary magazines, they focus on producing works that showcase innovative storytelling and unique perspectives across poetry, fiction, and nonfiction.

The anthology is now available for purchase on Bookshop.org, Barnes & Noble, and Amazon.
