A Debut Novel by Jean Perry

Congratulations to student Jean Perry! Her first book, Mozay of Pepperwick, was recently published. Jean took our How to Write a Fiction Series workshop earlier this year prior to publication. Jean's debut novel is loosely based on a story her aunt told about how Jean's grandfather learned to read. Jean is currently working on her second book about Mozay's further adventures and finds inspiration in the work of Zora Neale Hurston. Jean is a former journalist and elementary school teacher.
