We are thrilled to announce applications are open for our annual workshop in Ireland, a week that promises to be a highlight for writers around the world. This May 2025, Writing Workshops Dublin is set to bring a transformative experience to those passionate about fiction and nonfiction writing. Join us in the heart of literary Dublin for an intensive week packed with workshops, seminars, and personal guidance from esteemed authors and instructors.

Exceptional Faculty Line-Up

Our workshop boasts a stellar lineup of instructors, each a renowned name in the literary world:

  • Fiction Instructor Christine Pride is a writer, editor, and long-time publishing veteran. She’s held editorial posts at many different imprints, including Doubleday, Broadway, Crown, Hyperion, and Simon and Schuster. As an editor, Christine published many New York Times bestsellers and critically acclaimed books. She's also the author of the novels, written with Jo Piazza: We Are Not Like Them and You Were Always Mine (both from Atria Books). Her solo debut novel, All The Men I've Loved Again, will be published Summer 2025. Christine is a publishing and craft expert eager to meet you in Dublin.
  • Fiction Instructor Alyssa Songsiridej is the author of Little Rabbit, a Center for Fiction First Novel Prize and PEN/Hemingway Finalist, and a National Book Foundation 5 under 35, and a former editor at Electric Literature. The first story Alyssa acquired and edited for the magazine, “It is What It Is” by Azareen Van der Vliet Oloomi, was selected by Min Jin Lee for the 2022 Best American Short Stories Anthology.  Alyssa is also the author of more than one failed “drawer novel” and, in the course of drafting and failing and then eventually publishing a book, learned a great deal about what it takes to complete a solid project. Alyssa's hope is that these personal insights will also help you with your writing and can't wait to meet you in Dublin.
  • Nonfiction Instructor Tawny Lara is a Penguin Random House author who's passionate about destigmatizing mental health and helping people find confidence in their creativity. She's the author of Dry Humping: A Guide to Dating, Relating, and Hooking Up Without the Booze and The Sobriety Deck: Simple Practices for a Booze-Free Lifestyle, co-host of the Recovery Rocks podcast, and co-founder of the non-alcoholic botanical spirit, (parentheses). Tawny is an expert in helping nonfiction authors find their niche, discover their audience, and craft saleable book proposals and will be thrilled to welcome you to Dublin.

Intimate and Immersive Workshops

We believe in nurturing individual talent in a community setting. Each workshop will host no more than 10 participants, ensuring personalized attention and an intimate learning environment. Participants will submit two pieces of writing: one for group workshops and another for a one-on-one meeting with their instructor. This format is designed to provide comprehensive feedback and foster deep discussions about writing techniques, styles, and storytelling.

Daily Craft Talks

Our program includes daily craft talks open to all participants. These sessions, led by our program staff and faculty, will cover various aspects of writing and publishing, offering valuable insights into both the craft and the business of writing.
