We're thrilled to hear from workshop alum Leslie A. Lindsay, who has several new publications to share.

Her piece, Model Home: A Study Under Compression, was published at On the Sea Wall.

Leslie's poem, Crevasse, was published at ballast.

Her poem, Collapse, was published at Empyrean.

And a review of Our Hearts/Our Scars was published in DIAGRAM.

As a writer, Leslie is deeply influenced by visual art and poetry, capturing small beautiful things in vignettes and fragments. Leslie's current project is an excavation of their mother's mental illness but also her creativity, a gift bestowed to Leslie. It is told primarily in artifacts, photographs, floorplans, and the like.

Leslie A. Lindsay's writing has been featured in The Millions, CRAFT Literary, the Rumpus, Hippocampus Magazine, On the Seawall, The Smart Set, Brevity, Ballast Poetry Journal, The Cincinnati Review, and DIAGRAM, among others, with forthcoming work in LitHub, DASH Literary Journal, and North American Review.

Leslie’s fiction has been nominated for Best American Short Stories. She resides in Greater Chicago and is at work on a memoir excavating her mother’s madness through fragments. You can learn more about Leslie's work here.
