Welcome To The Editor’s View Column!

Writers tend to think of English as a stagnant language. Sure, we get the occasional new word added to the dictionary now and then, but overall, things like grammar and punctuation don’t really change much. After all, we still refer to a book written in 1918 and last revised almost two decades ago as the foremost guide on English grammar. But the truth is, the English language is constantly changing in wild and unexpected ways.
In the Editor’s View column, our professional editors will explore anything and everything to try and explain this crazy language called English. You’ll get critical updates about grammar guidelines, find helpful reviews on editing tools, and learn what these changes mean for you as a writer.
