Workshop Alum Sara Atwater has two new sonnets published in the 16th Edition of the Delmarva Review, which is out now.

Sara studied with poet Jack Christian in his Writing American Sonnets workshop, which she took in March 2023.

You can read two of the sonnets, "Sea Meets Coast" and "They Roll in and out of Love and Fisherman Blues," that Sara wrote in Jack's class at the Delmarva Review.

Sara writes, "Jack was a great teacher and I found the class really inspiring which I think shows in the work I produced while I was taking it."

Thank you for letting us be part of your writing practice in 2023, Sara! We are excited and thrilled by the work you are producing!

Sara Atwater (Belgium) grew up in Washington DC. She completed a BA in German and English at UC Berkeley and a master’s degree in education from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. She taught secondary school English for fifteen years. Currently, Atwater is working on a PhD at Maastricht University (Netherlands). She lives in Brussels with her partner and their two children.
