We're thrilled to share that one of our talented alumni, Pegah Ouji, will have her short story "Caged Birds" published in the prestigious Joyland Magazine!
Pegah developed her craft in our Short Story workshop under the guidance of acclaimed author Chaya Bhuvaneswar. This publication represents not only Pegah's remarkable talent and dedication to her craft but also highlights the supportive creative community we strive to foster.
Joyland Magazine, established in 2008 by Emily Schultz and Brian J Davis, has built a distinguished reputation in the literary world. As an award-winning online literary journal, Joyland has featured stories that have been included in Best American Short Stories and published in the Journey Prize Anthology.
We invite our community to support Pegah by reading "Rare Birds" when it's published and to stay tuned for more updates on her literary journey. Pegah's achievement reminds us of the power of perseverance, mentorship, and the creative spirit that drives our programs.
Congratulations, Pegah! We can't wait to see where your writing takes you next.
