WELCOME TO OCEAN... a place to nourish and invigorate your writing and yourself.

Ocean Writing is a journey into your intuitive inner room where creative genius resides. The goal of ocean writing is to break through barriers (self-doubt, stagnation, good old writer’s block) to produce fresh writing in a powerful voice you will recognize as uniquely yours.

The course uses meditation, generative writing time, sharing of work (voluntary) and theory about the practice of meditative writing and guidance for personal ocean writing.

Each three-hour session uses the Amherst Writers & Artist’s method to ensure a safe and supportive writing environment. Prior experience with meditation or writing is not necessary.

COURSE TAKE AWAYS:

  • A basic promise of the course is to enable the writer to circumvent preconceived limitations and thought and feel more in touch with, and in control of, their creative expression.
  • Combining meditation and writing enhances both practices.
  • The principles of ocean meditating, as Rasma teaches them, gives students safe guidance in using both meditation and writing as a creative journey.
  • The goal is access to your fresh, original voice and unique creative power.
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
You can pay for the course in full or use Shop Pay or Affirm to pay over time with equal Monthly Payments. Both options are available at checkout.

ONLINE COURSE STRUCTURE:

This class will have a weekly Zoom meeting, weekly writing prompts, and plenty of interaction with Rasma and your peers.
