Are you looking to experiment with structure and style in your flash? Hoping to generate new work? In this generative Zoom session, we’ll examine the braid and the collage.
After instruction and consideration of published examples, participants will craft two pieces based on a series of prompts and suggestions. We’ll talk too about where to submit finished flashes— the market is strong right now— and participants will share work as time permits.
Writers of all genres are welcome. Bring curiosity and willingness to write/revise! Class enrollment is limited to just 16 writers.

Awards include the 2022 Winning Writers Tom Howard prize, the Crazyhorse Prize, and 2nd place in the Zoetrope: All-Story Contest.
